So my mother and I made plane reservations to go to New Jersey the first weekend in December. Like most things in my life lately, I am extremely torn about this one.
My grandmother is dying, and I want her to see Zoe and Zoe to see her while she is still alive. I would greatly prefer to fly up there for this than a funeral. My grandmother is really a pretty incredible woman. She raised six children and I now realize what a remarkable feat that is. She used to come stay with us in the summers, and we always had a lot of fun together. I think she likes me best, hahah.
I am really looking forward to seeing all of my family, and it looks like we are going to head into New York City one afternoon to see the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. I really just thought that the next time I went up North to see everyone, I would have my husband with me and it would be a happy occasion. Nevertheless, I will make the best of it while it is happening, because otherwise it would be a waste of two plane tickets.
It should be interesting to see how Zoe does on the airplane and with a million people around her all the time. I have a feeling she is going to be very overwhelmed. I have a HUGE, LOUD, Irish Catholic family who are all dying to get their hands on this little girl!
So come on, who wants an "I heart NY" shirt?
