So I have been in "the happiness kind of tears" all morning long. Jonathan is finally on US soil and is going to be reunited with his family is just a few short hours.
I can honestly tell you that watching him tuck his children in before he left was the single hardest thing I have ever witnessed in all my life. I am just so grateful that it is over and they get to be a family again.
Jonathan - thank you. For being an amazing brother, and soldier! I can not wait to see you and talk at you incessantly! I can't wait to hear about all the horror movie sequels I have missed, and the rage in Zombie films. I can't wait to hear your take on new musical projects. I can not wait to take a car ride with you, or discuss possibly creating a 15th anniversary Dec 93 mix tape edition.
I can not wait to watch you play with your children, or go to dinner with your wife. I am so lucky to get to spend this Christmas with your family and Zoe and I are counting down the days.
Welcome home - we all love you and have missed you so much.
